Anchunthengu Fort
The historic remains of the Anchunthengu Fort in Thiruvananthapuram built by
the English East India Company in the 17th century, and an adjoining cemetery
are noteworthy relics of this first major British trading station on the Malabar

Thalaserry fort, located at a distance of 22 kms from Kannur constructed in
1708 AD was the military centre of the British. In 1708 AD, when the British
East India Company established its settlement on the Malabar Coast, they built
the Thalaserry Fort, as a testimonial to their colonial imperialism.

Francis Church
A cenotaph erected in 1920 AD, in memory of the residents of Cochin who fell
in the First Great War was unveiled by the Governor of Madras. The boundary
walls were erected in 1924 AD.

Church
Located 52 kms from Kochi, the Malayatoor Church is situated atop the 609 m
high Malayatoor Hill. The church is dedicated to St. Thomas, who is believed
to have prayed at this shrine.

Valiyapalli Church
The St. Mary's Church, located 2 kms from Kottayam was built as early as 1550
AD. The church is famous for its Persian stone cross, engraved with ancient
inscriptions.
